Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnnie Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johnnie Walker! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Walker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. West stalks Walker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Walker's face. Walker staggers backwards, shaken. Walker fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Walker looks for a takedown but West sprawls well. Walker moves out of range as West strikes. West lands with a right hand.
Walker is rocked! Walker blocks a jab. Walker feints and as West raises his hands in defense, Walker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. West wants to stand and escape but Walker is having none of it. Walker trying to control but West is working from the bottom. Walker advances to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Walker prevents West from standing back up.
Walker is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Walker is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, West has managed to free his arm - good work. West knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walker on the ground. Walker looks gassed! Walker has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. West is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as West is looking to escape. Walker scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Walker throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

West throwing strikes but missing. Walker is looking to sinch up a triangle. West throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Walker's body to avoid the submission. Walker has instead reached around West's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Walker arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Johnnie Walker!
