Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aaron Andrews! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce Babcock! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrews scores with a takedown into Babcock's guard. Babcock trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Babcock manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Andrews manages to get himself to full guard.
Babcock lands a couple of digs. Andrews is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Andrews walks into a straight right hand from Babcock. Andrews misses with a series of wild punches.
Andrews misses with a takedown attempt and Babcock counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Andrews's guard now. Babcock trying to control but Andrews is working from the bottom. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Babcock's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Andrews wants to sweep here but Babcock controlling him for the moment. Babcock postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Babcock trying to control but Andrews is working from the bottom. Babcock won't allow Andrews to sweep him here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Andrews keeping moving, preventing Babcock from controlling successfully.

Babcock stands and throws Andrews's legs to the side, diving into side control. Andrews tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Babcock pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Babcock can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Andrews is looking to escape. Babcock landing shots from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Andrews is desperately trying to improve his position but Babcock has a good base and remains in mount. Andrews is in a horrible position here. Babcock smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Andrews that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Babcock avoids the attempt from Andrews to control. Babcock raining down shots from the mount! Babcock is in the full mount, landing strikes. Andrews tries to hold on but Babcock postures up. Andrews tries to get back to half guard but can't. Babcock trying to control but Andrews is having none of it. Babcock breaks from Andrews's wrist control and lands an elbow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Andrews is in a horrible position here. Babcock smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Babcock looking to control but Andrews is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Babcock has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Andrews's face.
Andrews is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Babcock in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Babcock lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Andrews is rocked! Babcock drops a big elbow. That's hurt Andrews! More shots from Babcock and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
