Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mirko Naberovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samuale waters!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naberovich misses with a takedown attempt - waters sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mirko Naberovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Naberovich looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
No luck for Naberovich with that takedown attempt.
waters throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Naberovich looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

waters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Naberovich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Naberovich bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

waters wants to sweep here but Naberovich controlling him for the moment.
Naberovich wants to pass the guard but waters is keeping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
waters looks for a takedown but Naberovich sprawls well.
waters wants to clinch up but Naberovich keeps it at a distance.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Naberovich looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for waters!
Naberovich avoids the attempt from waters to control.
Naberovich could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
waters is trying to stand.
waters is trying to reverse the position but instead Naberovich has taken his back - oops!

Naberovich is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. waters defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
waters trying to control the hands but Naberovich won't let him.

waters tries for a takedown but Naberovich circles away easily

and Naberovich counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in waters's guard now.
waters wants to control the position but Naberovich says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
waters looks like he's trying to stand up.
waters wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
waters is looking to control Naberovich's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can waters avoid being mounted?
Naberovich wants to pass to mount but waters is defending the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
waters tries to clinch up.
waters gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Naberovich counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Naberovich wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
waters is working to get back to half guard.

Naberovich pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Poor strikes thrown by Naberovich there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Naberovich has control of waters's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and waters regains control of the situation pretty easily.
waters wants to hold on but Naberovich pushes him away.

waters wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Naberovich landing strikes from the mount and waters is in trouble!

waters tries to reverse the position but Naberovich maintains control.

Naberovich working for a guillotine from mount but waters is in no mood to give up.
waters tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Some wild striking there from waters.
Naberovich fails with a takedown attempt.
waters throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Naberovich's waist but Naberovich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing waters off to one side.
Naberovich shoots for a double leg takedown but waters sprawls well. He's pushed Naberovich's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
waters moves in looking to clinch but Naberovich pushes him off.

Naberovich shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
waters working to try and regain half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Naberovich landing punches.

Naberovich looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
waters wants to try and get back to his feet.
waters tries to lock up and control but Naberovich gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Naberovich looking for a guillotine from mount but waters is having none of it.
Mirko Naberovich overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
waters is desperately trying to improve his position but Naberovich has a good base and remains in mount.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Naberovich is landing with some decent strikes but waters is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Naberovich moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, waters has worked his arm free - good work by waters!
waters is looking for a sweep.
waters can't do much from the bottom here.

Naberovich thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
waters wants to control but Naberovich postures up.

Naberovich in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... waters is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
