Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Ardona! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Tyson! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ardona shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tyson eats them both and turns towards Ardona to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. No luck with that takedown attempt from Tyson. Ardona throws a right and a left that both miss. No luck with that takedown attempt from Tyson. Mike Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ardona displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tyson. James Ardona has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Tyson. Ardona misses with a wild combination.
Tyson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sloppy strikes from Ardona. Those never looked like landing. Ardona throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tyson on the side of the head. Ardona avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tyson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Ardona connects with the punch. No joy there for Ardona, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ardona tries to sprawl but Tyson drives through with a takedown into half guard. Tyson looks winded! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Tyson trying to pass the guard but Ardona defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tyson prevents Ardona from improving his position. Ardona has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tyson is working away from the top position though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ardona controlling the position well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ardona is looking for a sweep. Tyson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ardona is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ardona is positioning himself well to prevent Tyson advancing to mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of James Ardona. Tyson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ardona defends it nicely. Tyson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A left and a right from Tyson both land. Nice combination. Good exchange - Ardona coming out on top. Ardona keeps the fight on the outside. Ardona ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Ardona misses with a double jab.

Tyson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Ardona catches Tyson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ardona scores with the left hand. Tyson knows he should have avoided that one. Tyson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ardona as he avoids it easily. Ardona lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tyson backs up against the cage.
Ardona lands with a right hand. A cross from Ardona lands. Tyson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Tyson is rocked! Ardona lunges at Tyson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tyson's hand. Tyson is still on wobbly legs! Can Ardona finish him? Ardona lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Ardona drops Tyson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tyson looks back up at him and smiles so Ardona waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Ardona scores with a decent looking hook. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ardona circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Tyson to the canvas! Tyson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Ardona keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Ardona! During a confident post fight interview, James Ardona thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
