Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Kesler!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James shoots in and bounces Kesler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kesler looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kesler has momentary wrist control but James slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
James distracts Kesler with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
James slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up because David James just wasn't active enough.
A punch combination from James misses.
James shoots in but no luck this time.
Kesler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
James rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kesler moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

James looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kesler!
Kesler prevents James from moving into mount.
James just content to control the position.
James scores with punches from side control.

James is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kesler is trying to escape and James transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kesler is forced to tap! Nice work there by James! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). David James!
Our winner, David James, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
