Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javier Gattuso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Damon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gattuso comes to the cage accompanied by WAR-Low Rider. Damon has chosen Dies Irae as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gattuso lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Damon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gattuso fakes the leg kick and cracks Damon in the body.
A big left from Damon misses.
Gattuso misses with an uppercut
and Damon counters with a nice body shot.
Gattuso throws a body punch but Damon moves out of range.
Damon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gattuso moves away.
Good leg kick by Damon there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Damon missing with a left hand there. Gattuso was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Damon wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Damon throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Gattuso definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gattuso misses the jab.
Gattuso throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gattuso misses with an uppercut.
Nice body punch from Damon.
The fighters circling - Gattuso throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gattuso throws a series of punches but Damon moves out of range.

Damon motions for Gattuso to come forward. Damon throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Damon connects with a solid leg kick.
Gattuso throws a right hand that misses
and Damon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gattuso pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gattuso misses with an uppercut. Damon saw that one coming.
Damon chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Gattuso takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Gattuso is breathing heavily.
Damon lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Damon misses with a few strikes there.
Gattuso takes a swing at Damon's ribcage but misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Damon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gattuso fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Damon manages to avoid it.
Damon works the jab nicely.
Gattuso on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Gattuso lands an overhand right.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Damon slips under a jab from Gattuso.

Gattuso tries to score with a low kick but Damon moves his leg out of the way.
Gattuso tries to land a body kick
letting Damon counter with a right hand.
Damon jabs Gattuso right on the nose. Gattuso blinks but takes it well.
Damon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Damon pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Damon staying out of range there.
Damon jabs Gattuso to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Gattuso cracks Damon with an open hand slap.
Damon lands with a nice body punch.
Damon lands an overhand right.
Gattuso is rocked!
Damon Throws a clean left jab. Damon Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Gattuso's chin! Gattuso crumbles to the ground and Damon follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Damon!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ron Damon!
Ron Damon bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
