Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Chris Fisher has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Chris Fisher seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan Steel!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher shoots in but Steel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A lazy left from Fisher finds it's target.
Steel avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
A punch combination from Fisher misses.
A slapping body kick lands there for Fisher.
Chris Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fisher misses with a takedown attempt - Steel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Steel avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Fisher throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fisher throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Fisher lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fisher looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Steel avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A head kick misses from Fisher.
Fisher looks to score with a jab to the body but Steel is just out of range.
Fisher looks for a takedown but Steel sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Fisher. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Steel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Fisher counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Steel throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Steel moves away from the strike by Fisher.
Fisher bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Fisher misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fisher throws a sloppy head kick and Steel moves out of range easily.
Fisher is breathing heavily.
Fisher misses with an attempted mid kick.
Fisher takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Fisher tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Steel misses with the combination.
Steel swinging wilding here.
A left lands for Fisher.
Fisher steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Steel.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steel misses with a double jab.
Steel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fisher throws a lazy right hand but Steel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fisher on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fisher doesn't manage to clinch there - Steel circles away.
Fisher misses with a head kick.
Fisher throws a body punch but Steel moves out of range.
Fisher walks straight into a right hand from Steel - that's dropped him! Steel jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Fisher from any more punishment! Fisher complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jan Steel!
