The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jampo fails in his attempt to clinch.

Jampo throws a right hand that Maczynsky ducks under and follows up with a left that Maczynsky also avoids with ease.

Maczynsky feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jampo's calf.

Jampo lands a nice hook to Maczynsky's body. Maczynsky takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Sampo Jampo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maczynsky stuns Jampo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maczynsky tries to land a front kick but Jampo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Maczynsky has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Jampo rushes Maczynsky and presses him up against the cage.

Whack! Maczynsky lands a heavy head kick that drops Jampo. The ref tackles Maczynsky to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Jampo was done.
