Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hy Wiener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wiener comes into the arena with Fok Julle Naaiers blaring out of the sound system. Barnes is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiener lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barnes circles away quickly and effectively.
Wiener swings away with a body shot that misses
and Barnes counters with a slapping leg kick.
Barnes drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

The crowd cheers as Wiener lands an impressive looking overhand right. Barnes doesn't seem phased though.

Barnes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Barnes pushes Wiener off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Wiener goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Wiener pushes off an throws an elbow but Barnes leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Barnes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wiener avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Barnes counters with a head kick. That will keep Wiener thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Barnes, as that shot connected.
A cross from Wiener lands.
Barnes moves out of range of the body kick.
Barnes pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wiener back to the cage. Barnes follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Wiener has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
