Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kid Gavilan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Turris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kid Gavilan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kid Gavilan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyle Turris! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turris swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Turris misses with an uppercut
and Gavilan counters with a solid body kick. Gavilan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Turris manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gavilan connects with a jab. Turris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gavilan. Turris misses with an uppercut
enabling Gavilan to counter with a crisp jab. Turris loads up on a big right hand but Gavilan slips the punch. Gavilan is looking to score with low kicks. Turris misses with a looping right. Gavilan wants to clinch but Turris slips to the side and Turris counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Kid Gavilan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gavilan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Turris. Gavilan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Turris throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gavilan sees it coming and avoids it easily. Gavilan scores with a nice strike. Turris shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gavilan is trying to defend but Turris finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Turris trying to control the action but Gavilan is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turris wants to free his trapped foot but Gavilan is holding on for dear life with his legs. Turris looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Gavilan has his hands clasped together around Turris's back. He's all about the action. Gavilan is looking for a sweep. Turris is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Turris not doing much here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kyle Turris. Gavilan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Gavilan is struggling to control the position. Turris is trying to drag Gavilan to the mat but Gavilan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Stalling in the clinch from Turris.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turris has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gavilan regains guard immediately. Gavilan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Turris. Turris wants to control from the top but Gavilan keeps moving. Turris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gavilan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turris works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turris stalling. Turris is looking to stall here but Gavilan recovers full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Turris trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Turris dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gavilan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Gavilan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Gavilan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gavilan throws a body kick that misses. Gavilan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Gavilan fails in his attempt to clinch. A combination from Gavilan does no damage. Turris bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gavilan stops Turris from passing to mount. Turris trying to control the position but Gavilan is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turris is trying to get an arm triangle but Gavilan is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. The strikes coming from Turris are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Gavilan managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Turris.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gavilan wants to control but Turris postures up. Turris taking a break here but Gavilan is having none of it and regains half guard. Gavilan is trying to get back to full guard. Turris is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gavilan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Turris.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turris missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Turris is looking for a kimura here.
Turris is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gavilan defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gavilan trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Turris is stalling here but it's allowed Gavilan to get half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Turris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Gavilan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Turris blocks a jab. The fighters circling - Turris throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jab, jab by Turris - just one landing. Turris avoids the head kick by Gavilan.
Gavilan is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Turris changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gavilan tries to avoid it but Turris manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gavilan to the ground. Gavilan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gavilan is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Turris throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Turris throws a hook but Gavilan avoids it easily. Turris misses with a straight left. Horrible takedown by Turris or perhaps it was just good defense by Gavilan which made him look bad. Turris looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Gavilan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Gavilan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gavilan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Turris pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Gavilan slaps away a takedown attempt from Turris, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kid Gavilan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Turris. Turris misses the jab. Kid Gavilan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Turris tests Gavilan's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gavilan fails in his attempt to clinch. Turris throws a jab but it's blocked by Gavilan. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gavilan, as that shot connected.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Turris misses the jab. Gavilan tries to clinch but Turris moves away enabling Turris to counter with a crisp jab. Turris checks the leg kick. Turris thows a body shot but no joy. A looping hook to the body misses from Turris. Gavilan does a little dance to reset his feet. Turris fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Good work by Turris as he checks the leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice defenses there by Gavilan. Gavilan wants to clinch but Turris slips to the side enabling Turris to counter with a crisp jab. Turris moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Turris misses with a straight left. A chopping leg kick lands by Gavilan. Turris fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nice defenses there by Turris.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turris walks forward, straight into a front kick from Gavilan. Turris might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Turris shoots in for a takedown but Gavilan shows good takedown defense. Turris on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Turris misses with a hook. Gavilan misses with an attempted mid kick.

Turris checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Turris pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gavilan back to the cage. Turris follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Turris gets tackled into the cage by Gavilan. Gavilan maintains the clinch. Gavilan trying to stall but Turris improves his position.
Gavilan throws an elbow that misses.
Gavilan lands an elbow inside. Gavilan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Turris is defending well for now. Turris stalling in the clinch but Gavilan improves position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turris avoiding damage as Gavilan throws knees to the body.
Gavilan blocks an elbow strike. Gavilan is looking to control Turris's arms but Turris gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gavilan has his back to the cage. Turris misses with an elbow strike.
Gavilan gets underhooks to prevent Turris's takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gavilan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gavilan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Turris looks to throw the jab but Gavilan is out of range. Gavilan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A decent looking body kick lands there for Gavilan. Turris looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gavilan is fending him off so far but Turris persists. Nope, Gavilan circles away and we're back to standing. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Turris, as that shot connected.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Turris misses with a left hand and Gavilan counters with a nice leg kick. Gavilan moves away from the strike by Turris. Kid Gavilan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Turris scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Kyle Turris. I've got Turris winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Kyle Turris! A less than humble Kyle Turris misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
