And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ron Wood!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dantes lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dantes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wood.
Dantes misses with a wild body shot.
Wood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dantes circles away quickly and effectively.
Wood takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Malcolm Dantes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wood gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wood manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Wood is trying to push Dantes away but Dantes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Dantes keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wood's efforts to push away.
Dantes is trying to break the clinch but Wood is controlling him.
Dantes definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wood is trying to force a seperation but Dantes has the dominant position.
Dantes is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wood is keeping busy.

Wood gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Wood is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Wood trying to control but Dantes is working from the bottom.

Wood drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dantes looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dantes looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dantes!

Dantes has control of an arm but Wood manages to advance to Dantes's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wood punches the canvas rather than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wood has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dantes has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ron Wood was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Wood closes the distance and clinches up with Dantes, looking for a takedown. Wood pushes Dantes against the cage but Dantes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Dantes cracks a nice hook into Wood's ribs.

Dantes swats away the attempt to clinch by Wood.

Wood looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Dantes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Dantes lands a big right hand that sends Wood crashing to the mat! Dantes stays standing though and waves Wood back to his feet!
Dantes throws an overhand right that drops Wood like a sack of potatoes! Dantes dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
