Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Foster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fallon Fox!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster keeps the fight on the outside.
Fox wants to clinch up but Foster keeps it at a distance.

Foster shoots in and gets a takedown into Fox's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Foster is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Foster sitting in guard here, content to control.
Foster working some strikes from top position.

Foster gets to his feet - Fox follows without any prompting.
Fallon Fox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Foster keeps the fight on the outside.
Fox darts in trying to clinch

and Foster counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Foster.

Foster jumps into guard, dragging Fox to the mat.
Foster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Foster tries to get out of the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fox throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Foster is on top in guard.
Fox wants to stand and escape but Foster is having none of it.
Foster works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Fox tries to kick Foster off but Foster keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Foster is looking for a kimura here.

Fox is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Foster pulls his head out easily.
Foster controlling the action here.
Foster working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fox looks like he's trying to stand up.
Fox throws a strike from the bottom but Foster passes into side control!
Fox wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Foster landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Fox is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Foster is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Foster is working for a guillotine from mount but Fox frees his head quite easily.

Foster wants to finish this one by submission but Fox is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Foster.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Foster tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Foster unloading with bombs!
Foster lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Foster lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Foster is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fox can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
BOOM! Foster connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Foster controlling from the full mount.
Fox takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fox is trying to stand up.
Fox looks winded!

Foster stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Fox looks to clinch

and Foster moves into the clinch.

Foster lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Fox tries to kick Foster off but Foster keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Foster seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Fox has hold of Foster's hands but Foster slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Foster working Fox over with strikes.
Foster passes to side control.
Foster advances to full mount.
Foster pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Foster looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Foster looking to isolate an arm here. Fox doesn't see it coming and as Foster extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Foster!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tony Foster!
After the fight, Tony Foster was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
