Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pasi Palander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Bashor!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palander connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bashor's hands.
It looks like Jason Bashor has been cut.
Palander tries to clinch but Bashor is having none of it.
Palander uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bashor has time to react.
The fight stays on the outside here - Palander looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bashor takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Palander, as that shot connected.
Palander scores with a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Palander is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Bashor is rocked!
Bashor slips a jab and a cross from Palander.
Palander lands a big right hand that sends Bashor crashing to the mat! Palander stays standing though and waves Bashor back to his feet!
Bashor is still on wobbly legs! Can Palander finish him?
Palander fakes the body blow, causing Bashor to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Bashor goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pasi Palander!
