Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between JG Wentworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephane Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wentworth's entrance music is CALL J.G. WENTWORTH. A fine choice. Phillips has chosen Bing Bong by Korki Buchek as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Wentworth.
Phillips doesn't manage to clinch there - Wentworth circles away.
Phillips misses with a head kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Phillips has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Wentworth drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wentworth trying to control the position from guard on top but Phillips is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Phillips is looking to cinch up a triangle. Wentworth throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Phillips's body to avoid the submission. Phillips has instead reached around Wentworth's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Phillips arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Stephane Phillips was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
