PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Fantuzzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fantuzzi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Alexia - Dimmi Come.... The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fantuzzi feints a jab promting Hogan to slip. Fantuzzi then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hogan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Hogan is trying desperately to land a takedown but Fantuzzi is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hogan.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Fantuzzi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hogan manages to avoid it.
Hogan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Fantuzzi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hogan scrambles back to his feet.

Fantuzzi looks to land a combination but Hogan avoids it well.
Hogan shoots in looking for a takedown. Fantuzzi tries to sprawl out of it but Hogan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fantuzzi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hogan misses with a two punch combination.

Hogan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fantuzzi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantuzzi is trying to control Hogan's posture but Hogan avoids it.
Hogan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
