Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hollis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hollis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to UGK - Pocket Full of Stones. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Hollis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Morgan! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hollis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Morgan paws at him with a jab and circles away. Joe Hollis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hollis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Morgan. Morgan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A slapping leg kick lands for Morgan.
Morgan takes a swing at Hollis's ribcage but misses. Hollis misses with a series of wild punches.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Morgan. Hollis misses with a leg kick. Hollis scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Hollis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hollis pivots, looking for a leg kick but Morgan is out of range and Hollis settles back down. Hollis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Morgan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Morgan throws a half hearted mid kick. Hollis throws the kick towards the body but Morgan avoids it. Hollis throws a wild body kick that Morgan sees coming a mile off. Hollis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Morgan.
Morgan wants to clinch. Hollis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Morgan was well out of range. Poor timing from Hollis.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hollis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Morgan.
Hollis lands a glancing blow to the side of Morgan's head. Hollis avoids a kick to the body.
A head kick misses from Hollis. Hollis blocks the body kick.
Morgan thows a body shot but no joy. Morgan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hollis can pounce on him.
Hollis takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. That kick from Morgan tenderised Hollis's leg. Hollis is trying to keep his angry face on. Jab by Morgan. Morgan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Morgan jabs at Hollis's body. Morgan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hollis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hollis scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Hollis bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Hollis moves out of range of the body kick. Hollis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hollis is looking to wear down Morgan with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big left from Morgan misses. Hollis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Morgan.
Hollis throws out a leg kick but Morgan moves out of range and Hollis only half commits. Morgan looks for the body kick but Hollis saw that one coming. Morgan dodges the punch combination from Hollis.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hollis. Morgan does a little dance to reset his feet. Hollis listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Hollis lands a head shot. A head kick misses from Hollis. Morgan blocks a head kick by Hollis.
Hollis fails to land with a series of punches.
Hollis pushes Morgan away with a front kick. Morgan looks for the body kick but Hollis saw that one coming. Hollis throws a lazy head kick and Morgan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hollis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Morgan moves out of range as Hollis throws a body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morgan avoids the head kick by Hollis.
Hollis works Morgan's body with a nice hook. Morgan lands a nice looking body kick. Hollis takes one on the button. Morgan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hollis to the ground. Morgan is now in Hollis's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Hollis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morgan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Morgan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hollis works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Morgan pushes down on Hollis's leg and manages to get into half guard. Morgan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morgan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hollis keeps working. Morgan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Morgan working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Hollis's thigh. Hollis counters though and makes it back to full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hollis working a defensive guard but Morgan passes into half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Morgan with the ground and pound but Hollis uses the opportunity to regain guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joe Hollis will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hollis throws a leg kick but Morgan moved away. Hollis misses with a straight left. Hollis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Morgan, pushing him back against the cage. Hollis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Morgan rushes Hollis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Hollis tries to throw a body punch but Morgan avoids it by throwing Hollis back against the cage. Morgan tries a body shot but Hollis blocks it.
Morgan prevents a body shot from Hollis. Hollis throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Hollis has a couple of punches blocked by Morgan.

Hollis cracks Morgan with a nice body shot. Morgan wants to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round. A short body shot lands from Hollis as the two fighters clinch.
Hollis misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Morgan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hollis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Morgan tries for a takedown but Hollis manages to get underhooks.

Hollis gets through Morgan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Morgan jumps guard but Hollis turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Joe Hollis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dexter Morgan. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Hollis. Morgan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hollis misses with a head kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hollis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jab by Morgan. Morgan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hollis.
Nice body kick there by Morgan. A right-left combo lands from Hollis.
It looks like Dexter Morgan has been cut. Hollis lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Morgan is rocked! A solid leg kick lands there for Hollis.
Morgan moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Hollis misses with a body shot.

Hollis lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Morgan or not. Morgan blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Morgan is trying to break the clinch but Hollis has him pressed against the cage. Hollis lands a shot to the body. Morgan prevents a body shot from Hollis. Morgan throws a head punch that misses. Morgan jumps into guard, dragging Hollis to the mat.
Morgan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hollis stacks Morgan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hollis! You can see the frustration on Morgan's face as Hollis controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morgan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hollis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morgan on the ground. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hollis in side control, just content to control the action for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Hollis dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Dexter Morgan's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Morgan tightens his grip and picks Hollis up, before dumping him to the ground. Hollis manages to land in guard. Morgan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Morgan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hollis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Morgan, into his guard. Morgan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hollis stacks Morgan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hollis! Dexter Morgan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Morgan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morgan is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Hollis is staying active. Morgan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morgan looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hollis keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Hollis tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Morgan. Morgan is positioning himself well to prevent Hollis advancing to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Hollis stalling.
We're going to have a standup here because Joe Hollis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hollis tries to clinch there but Morgan circles away.
Hollis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Morgan circles away quickly and effectively. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hollis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. A punch combination from Hollis misses. Morgan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Good exchange - Hollis coming out on top.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Hollis showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hollis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
