Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Marrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Boots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boots has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franklin Marrow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Boots! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boots throws a big shot that misses. Marrow rushes Boots and presses him up against the cage. Marrow turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Marrow manages to end up in side control. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Marrow working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Marrow working away. Boots is not content to let Marrow control the position. Boots tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Marrow wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marrow trying to control the position but Boots is working away. Boots keeps Marrow under control for a moment. Boots is trying to control Marrow's posture but Marrow avoids it. Boots is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marrow working the ground and pound but Boots is defending the strikes. Boots is trying to escape the position but Marrow is controlling the position. Boots tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Marrow wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Boots's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Marrow controls the position from side control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Boots lands with a nice body punch. Johnny Boots seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boots throws a poor cross that misses
and Marrow counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boots is trying to control but can't.
Marrow tries to stand but can't do so whilst Boots controls his leg. Boots is not content to let Marrow control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marrow sitting and controlling from the half guard. Marrow trying to control the action but Boots is working from the bottom. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Franklin Marrow wasn't doing enough on the ground. Boots lands a nice hook to Marrow's body. Marrow takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Boots getting the better of the striking in that exchange. The fighters circle momentarily. Boots darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Marrow uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boots.
Marrow looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marrow showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Boots.
Marrow clinches up with Boots and pushes him back against the cage. Boots is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Marrow is keeping busy. Marrow wants the takedown. Boots is fighting it off but Marrow persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Boots's guard against the cage. Marrow tries to free his leg and advance position but Boots is retaining full guard. Marrow trying to control but Boots is working from the bottom. Marrow is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Franklin Marrow just wasn't active enough. Boots gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Marrow has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boots is on top in guard.
Marrow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boots on the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boots trying to control but Marrow is working from the bottom. Boots seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Marrow is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Boots is controlling him. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boots accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Marrow controls Boots momentarily but Boots frees himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Marrow wants to stand and escape but Boots is having none of it. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franklin Marrow dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Boots misses with a body shot.
Boots goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Marrow is looking to clinch but Boots is avoiding it.
Boots keeps the fight on the outside. Marrow shoots in and gets a takedown into Boots's guard. Marrow sitting in guard, not really doing much. Boots working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marrow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Marrow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Marrow is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Boots trying to keep a closed guard but Marrow is proving a slippery customer.
Franklin Marrow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boots keeping moving, preventing Marrow from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Franklin Marrow wasn't doing enough on the ground. Boots scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Boots misses with a wild body shot. Boots with a body punch. A glancing blow. Marrow darts in looking for a takedown but Boots gets double underhooks and turns Marrow into the cage. Boots has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Marrow pulls guard effortlessly. Boots slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Boots won't allow Marrow to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boots postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Marrow looking for a sweep. Not yet Marrow, not yet. Boots stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marrow swivels though and keeps the full guard. Boots throws a big right hand that misses. Boots trying to move into half guard but instead Marrow has managed to sweep! Boots is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marrow defends well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boots is looking for a triangle but Marrow pushes his legs off easily.

and Marrow counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Boots's jab looks to have found its range, popping Marrow under the eye. Boots throws a body punch but Marrow moves out of range. Marrow connects with a body shot. Boots throws a right hand that misses
and Marrow counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Boots! Marrow controlling from side mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marrow working away. Boots gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Marrow wants to control but Boots is keeping him busy. Boots is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Marrow is looking to take a break and control but Boots is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boots has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Marrow prevents Boots from improving his position. Boots slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Boots looking to control.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Marrow is looking to stall here but Boots recovers full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Johnny Boots will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marrow decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Marrow takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Boots connects with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marrow tries to clinch up but Boots circles away and keeps his distance. Franklin Marrow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Marrow with a body punch. A glancing blow. Boots is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Marrow rather than just go for the knockout. Nice straight punches there by Boots. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Boots. Marrow avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Boots throws an off balance right hand
and Marrow counters with a single leg into guard. Boots didn't expect that. Boots tries to land a sweep but no joy. Marrow tries to free his leg and advance position but Boots is retaining full guard. Marrow preventing the sweep. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boots is on top in guard.
Marrow is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Boots presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Boots misses with some punches.

Marrow wants to control but Boots is keeping him busy. Marrow works to advance to full mount. Boots defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Marrow controlling from the full mount. Boots is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boots is trying to escape the mount.

Boots sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Boots is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Johnny Boots. Boots misses with a right hand and Marrow counters with a body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Franklin Marrow showed his dominance in that final round. I think Marrow has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
