The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zangief takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Smith throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Zangief counters by clinching up.
Zangief tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Zangief drags the fight down to the ground.
Zangief looking for a triangle here. Smith is fighting it but it looks tight! Zangief pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Smith is tapping out - this one is all over!
