Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Derek Moriga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beniamino Comando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Comando comes into a darkened arena with his song building. This War Is Ours kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moriga scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Moriga stuffs the takedown attempt from Comando. Comando gets slowly back to his feet.
Moriga throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Comando tries to clinch but Moriga is having none of it.
Comando shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Moriga manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Derek Moriga just wasn't active enough.
Moriga tries to bum rush Comando with a series of wild strikes but Comando uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No joy there for Moriga, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Comando takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nice uppercut there from Moriga.
Comando is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Comando throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moriga's waist but Moriga gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Comando off to one side.
Moriga uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Comando has time to react.

Comando walks into a left hand.
Comando has a takedown stuffed.
Derek Moriga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Beniamino Comando.
Comando throws a shot from downtown. Moriga moves away and avoids it.
Derek Moriga is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Moriga decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Comando's guard.
Moriga passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Moriga unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Comando wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Moriga celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
