Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sin Cara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierce has chosen I'm Different as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sin Cara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Pierce! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierce drives through and clinches with Cara against the cage.
Cara has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pierce uses from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Pierce prevents Cara from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cara looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pierce trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pierce preventing the sweep. Pierce wanted to stand there but Cara had control of the position. Cara pulls Pierce in close to prevent any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cara shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pierce's guard. Pierce tries to strike from the bottom.
Pierce controls Cara momentarily but Cara frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cara looking to pass the guard. Cara slips nicely into half guard. Pierce is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cara pulls his head out easily. Cara has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Cara gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pierce uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Pierce has taken the fight to the clinch.

Cara pulls guard. Cara has Pierce pulled in close to control his posture. Cara is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cara looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Pierce has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cara is proving hard to escape from. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sin Cara dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Pierce shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Cara has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Sin Cara is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A slapping body kick lands there for Pierce. Pierce wants to clinch and Cara counters with a nice double leg into guard. Pierce working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cara. Cara has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pierce is trying to control the position but Cara postures up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cara scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Cara pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pierce is keeping the position for now. Pierce trying to keep a closed guard but Cara is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cara content to stall in guard here. Cara preventing the sweep. Pierce keeps trying to improve his position. Cara is stalling in the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Sin Cara just wasn't active enough. Pierce throws a combination. Cara tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cara shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pierce is looking to stand up but Cara isn't so interested in that idea. Pierce is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Pierce looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cara has picked Pierce up and slammed him! Pierce can't keep hold of the triangle and Cara manages to pass to side control! Pierce is breathing heavily. Cara is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Pierce will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cara wants to stand but Pierce is controlling his arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pierce tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Cara controlling his opponent. Pierce tries to hold on but Cara postures up. Cara controlling the pace for now. Cara stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pierce tries to clinch but Cara moves away and Cara counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pierce thinking. Pierce misses with a takedown attempt - Cara sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cara changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pierce looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pierce manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pierce trying to control the action but Cara is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cara is looking for a sweep. Pierce is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cara tries to kick Pierce off but Pierce keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sin Cara dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Cara misses with a low kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Pierce. That snapped Cara's head back.
Pierce moves into the clinch. Cara has hold of one of Pierce's legs. Pierce is fighting the takedown attempt but Cara gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Cara might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pierce wants to sweep but no luck. Cara content to stall in guard here. Pierce wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cara manages to pass to side control. Pierce trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cara wants to stand up but Pierce has a hold of him and won't allow it. Pierce is trying to get back to full guard. Cara looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Pierce trying to control from the bottom.
Sin Cara overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cara fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pierce sprawls well initially but Cara persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Cara tries to stand and escape but Pierce is controlling the position. Cara is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pierce is just riding it out for now. Cara eventually gives up the hold. Pierce wants to control but Cara is keeping busy and won't allow it. Pierce is trying to stand up here but Cara is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cara is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Pierce! Cara goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Pierce turns into him and now he's in Cara's guard.
Pierce wants to control from the top but Cara keeps moving. Cara looking for a guillotine here but Pierce defends easily.

Cara is looking for a triangle here but Pierce uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cara is trying to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Sin Cara showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cara, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Sin Cara! Sin Cara decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
