The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Coleston is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Coleston blocks a body shot from Hillman. Coleston successfully pulls guard.
Coleston preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Coleston is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hillman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Coleston is keeping the position for now. Hillman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Coleston wants to stand and escape but Hillman is having none of it. Coleston keeping moving, preventing Hillman from controlling successfully.
Ronnie Hillman has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Coleston fails with the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleston scores with a body shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Coleston. Hillman drives through with a takedown into guard. Hillman trying to control the position from guard on top but Coleston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Coleston doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Hillman tries to free his leg and advance position but Coleston is retaining full guard. Hillman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hillman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Coleston is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleston trying to keep a closed guard but Hillman is proving a slippery customer.
Coleston keeping moving, preventing Hillman from controlling successfully. Hillman stands and throws Coleston's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hillman is working to tighten is grip on Coleston's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Coleston has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hillman is really squeezing tight and eventually Coleston passes out! Hillman breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
