Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kato Munechika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Munechika has chosen Requiem for a Dream as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munechika thuds his shin into the meat of Shields's side.
Shields takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nice takedown defense from Munechika. No joy for Shields on that attempt.
Shields takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Shields takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Shields throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Shields gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Munechika to score an easy takedown into full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Munechika throws a big elbow that misses.
Shields knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Munechika on the ground.
Shields wants to stand and escape but Munechika is having none of it.

Munechika slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kato Munechika really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Hellbent logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
