Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pickle Snatch McDigglepuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Saffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saffy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Still Unbroken kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Josh Saffy is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDigglepuss defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Saffy.
Saffy on the wrong end of a nice hook.
McDigglepuss's corner calls for a 1-2. McDigglepuss obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
McDigglepuss throws a right hand that Saffy ducks under and follows up with a left that Saffy also avoids with ease.

Saffy closes the distance and pushes McDigglepuss back into the cage.
McDigglepuss gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Saffy.
Saffy can't get the takedown.
Pickle Snatch McDigglepuss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Saffy.
A frustrated look appears on McDigglepuss's face as he tries to break the clinch.
McDigglepuss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McDigglepuss stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Saffy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McDigglepuss wants to stand but Saffy is controlling his posture from full guard.

McDigglepuss wants to control from the top but Saffy keeps moving.

McDigglepuss loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Pickle Snatch McDigglepuss wasn't doing enough on the ground.
McDigglepuss tries to bum rush Saffy with a series of wild strikes but Saffy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Saffy is looking to clinch.

Saffy clinches up against the cage.
Saffy is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McDigglepuss is defending well for now.
McDigglepuss has had enough of the clinch but Saffy keeps him there for the moment.

Saffy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McDigglepuss misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Saffy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Saffy lands in his opponent's guard.
McDigglepuss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Saffy wants to control from the top but McDigglepuss keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saffy looks winded!
Saffy controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McDigglepuss wants to stand up but Saffy is controlling him.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

McDigglepuss will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Josh Saffy has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Saffy shoots in for a double leg but McDigglepuss sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McDigglepuss throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McDigglepuss throws a one two combo.
Saffy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McDigglepuss's waist but McDigglepuss gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Saffy off to one side.
McDigglepuss throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Saffy crashing down! Saffy tries to stagger back to his feet but McDigglepuss just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Saffy asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
