Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Con Dumas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans has chosen j as his entrance music. Rashad Evans has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Con Dumas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rashad Evans!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Dumas misses.
Evans displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dumas throws out the jab.

and Evans counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Evans lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dumas has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dumas and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dumas has his foot on Evans's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Evans works his way back into a safe position though.

Evans got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dumas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Evans has managed to get both his arms back between Dumas's legs - danger averted.

Dumas looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Evans has picked Dumas up and slammed him! Dumas can't keep hold of the triangle and Evans manages to pass to side control!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Evans, as that shot connected.

Evans throws a low kick, looking for Dumas's leg but Dumas calmly moves out of range.

Well Evans has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
