Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Plantagenet pinned against the cage. Plantagenet gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Plantagenet displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Alvarez.
Alvarez shoots in for a double leg but Plantagenet sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Richard Plantagenet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wes Alvarez.
Alvarez closes the distance and clinches up with Plantagenet, looking for a takedown. Alvarez pushes Plantagenet against the cage but Plantagenet circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Alvarez fails to land the takedown.
Plantagenet throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Alvarez.
It looks like Wes Alvarez has been cut.
Plantagenet throws a sloppy head kick and Alvarez moves out of range easily.
Alvarez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Plantagenet but Plantagenet pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Alvarez looks for a takedown but Plantagenet sprawls well.
Wes Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Plantagenet wants to clinch up but Alvarez keeps it at a distance.
Alvarez misses with a takedown attempt - Plantagenet sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A jab from Plantagenet finds it's way through Alvarez's defenses.

Alvarez attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Alvarez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Plantagenet scores with a leg kick.
Alvarez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Plantagenet avoids it really well and circles away.

Plantagenet keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Alvarez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Plantagenet swivels and escapes.
Richard Plantagenet is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alvarez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Alvarez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Plantagenet lands a big head kick that sends Alvarez tumbling to the mat! Plantagenet takes a step backwards and waves Alvarez back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Alvarez is rocked!
Plantagenet and Alvarez are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Plantagenet throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Alvarez into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Plantagenet knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
