Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Bearer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shake Enroll! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bearer throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bearer goes for a double leg but Enroll avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Enroll continues to drive forward. Bearer stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Enroll scores with a shoulder strike. Bearer effectively controlling the action here. Enroll keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bearer's efforts to push away. Bearer makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Enroll throws a head punch that misses. Enroll tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Bearer lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Shake Enroll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Enroll closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Enroll lands in his opponent's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Enroll drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Enroll jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Enroll is looking to stand up but Bearer won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Enroll trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Enroll has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bearer is proving hard to escape from. Bearer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Enroll defends well. Enroll tries to free his leg and advance position but Bearer is retaining full guard. Enroll would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Enroll wants to control from the top but Bearer keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Enroll wants to pass the guard but Bearer is keeping the position.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Shake Enroll wasn't active enough on the ground. Bearer is looking to clinch. Enroll fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Enroll misses with a takedown attempt - Bearer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bearer misses with a few strikes there.

Bearer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Enroll paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Enroll scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Enroll tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bearer was well out of range. Poor timing from Enroll. Bearer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Enroll. Enroll takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bearer closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Enroll misses with a wild body shot. Enroll darts in looking for a takedown but Bearer gets double underhooks and turns Enroll into the cage. Bearer throws a head punch that misses. A bit of stalling here from Bearer.
Bearer seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Bearer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bearer shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Bearer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Enroll misses with a double jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Bearer thumps Enroll with a low kick. Bearer throws a looping overhand right but Enroll ducks down to avoid it. Enroll lands a head shot. Danga de danga de dang - Bearer scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Shake Enroll has been cut. Enroll takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Enroll is rocked! Bearer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Enroll counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Paul Bearer has been cut. Bearer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bearer avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Bearer throws out a loose jab but Enroll uses good head movement to avoid it. A combination from Enroll does no damage. Enroll works Bearer's body with a nice hook. Bearer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Enroll moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bearer fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Enroll has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Enroll closes the distance and lands a one-two. Crunch! Enroll slams his shin into Bearer's torso. Enroll misses with the combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Shake Enroll will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Enroll throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bearer. Bearer moves away from the strike by Enroll. Nice body punch from Enroll. Bearer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bearer walks into a straight right hand from Enroll. Enroll misses with a looping left. Enroll moves away from the strike by Bearer. Bearer moves forwards but Enroll connects with a nice, crisp jab. Enroll works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Bearer lands a high kick!
Enroll has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Enroll lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bearer circles away quickly and effectively. Bearer has managed to clinch.

Enroll lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bearer is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Enroll lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bearer backwards. Enroll working aggressively here.
Enroll throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Enroll is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
A short right from Enroll on the inside. Bearer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bearer moves away from the strike by Enroll. Enroll misses with a two punch combination.
Enroll closes the distance and clinches up with Bearer, looking for a takedown. Enroll pushes Bearer against the cage but Bearer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Paul Bearer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shake Enroll. A solid leg kick lands there for Bearer.

Bearer uses the momentum to regain guard. Enroll stands up from guard. Let's bang! Bearer cracks Enroll with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Bearer takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Enroll is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bearer moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Bearer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Enroll ducks under a wild hook from Bearer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bearer shoots for a takedown but Enroll saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Enroll tries to close the distance and clinch but Bearer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bearer clinches with his opponent.
Enroll tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bearer's elbow. Enroll's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Enroll fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bearer checks it well. Bearer throws a jab when Enroll was well out of range. A left lands for Enroll. Bearer misses with a body shot.

Enroll slips under a jab. A combination from Bearer does no damage. Enroll connects with an inside leg kick. The fight stays on the outside here - Enroll looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Enroll walks into a left hand.

This has been an exciting period of action! Bearer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Enroll pinned against the cage. Enroll gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Enroll throws a series of punches but Bearer avoids them all with ease. Bearer walks into a stiff left hand from Enroll. Enroll lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Enroll blocks a body shot from Bearer. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bearer on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Shake Enroll seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Enroll's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shake Enroll showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Enroll wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Bearer postures up and lands a big shot to Enroll's brow. Enroll wants to sweep but no luck. Bearer passes into half guard. Bearer prevents Enroll from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bearer performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bearer throwing shots but Enroll is blocking nicely. Bearer controlling the action here. Enroll blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bearer. Bearer is thwarting Enroll's attempts to control the position. Shake Enroll has got the better of the ground game so far. Bearer scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Shake Enroll has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. A combination from Bearer does no damage. Bearer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Enroll defends well and Bearer ends up having to push Enroll into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Enroll tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Enroll tries to land knees in the clinch but Bearer avoids the damage to the body. Enroll jumps guard but Bearer stands there with Enroll around his waist. Enroll gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bearer throws a punch but it's blocked by Enroll. Enroll throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Bearers head. A head punch on the inside from Bearer fails to land. Bearer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Enroll throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bearer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bearer tests Enroll's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bearer throws an overhand right that lands on Enroll's shoulder, as Enroll tries to avoid the shot. Paul Bearer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Enroll shoots in looking for a takedown but Bearer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Enroll's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Enroll feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bearers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Enroll shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bearer eats them both and turns towards Enroll to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Enroll takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Enroll tries to clinch but Bearer is having none of it. Bearer misses with a low kick as Enroll jumps back. Enroll connects with a nice looking jab.
Bearer throws a right and a left that both miss. Enroll misses with a few strikes there.
Sloppy strikes from Bearer. Those never looked like landing. Bearer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Enroll gets caught napping as Bearer dives in and scores a takedown. Enroll manages to retain guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bearer is looking to work some ground and pound but Enroll has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Enroll looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bearer throws a big elbow that misses. Bearer postures up in Enroll's guard and throws a big left but Enroll blocks it. Enroll trying to keep a closed guard but Bearer is proving a slippery customer.
Bearer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bearer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bearer throwing strikes from guard but Enroll blocks nicely. Enroll looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bearer is one step ahead there. Paul Bearer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bearer scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Shake Enroll is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Enroll working a defensive guard but Bearer passes into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Bearer showed his dominance in that final round. Well Enroll has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
