Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dawid Paluch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Mellors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dawid Paluch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Mellors!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paluch fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Paluch shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Paluch stops Mellors from getting back to his feet.
Mellors controlling the position for now.
Paluch is looking to advance position but Mellors won't allow it.
Mellors is positioning himself well to prevent Paluch advancing to mount.

Carl Mellors has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Paluch enables Mellors to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Paluch manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Carl Mellors showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Paluch's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mellors perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mellors has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Paluch in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Mellors moves to the back.
Mellors has good solid back control here.
Mellors has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Let's hope that Mellors has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Mellors lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Paluch is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mellors is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Carl Mellors comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mellors has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
