Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miguel Baskas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Caster!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caster throws a head kick that misses.
Caster displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Baskas.

Caster closes the distance and clinches.
Caster wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Caster manages to pull guard.
Baskas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Caster trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Caster tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Caster looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Baskas has picked Caster up and slammed him! Caster can't keep hold of the triangle and Baskas manages to pass to side control!
Baskas controls the position from side control.
Baskas working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Caster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baskas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Baskas connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Caster some visible discomfort.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Caster takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Baskas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Caster knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Baskas is chipping away with strikes.
Caster takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Caster is wriggling around trying to escape but Baskas has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Caster taps out and Baskas picks up the big win! Great work there by Baskas!
