Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julian Soler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackyp Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julian Soler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jackyp Chan!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Soler has managed to clinch.
Chan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Chan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Soler walks away with a smile on his face. Chan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Soler wants to improve his position but Chan is controlling well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chan connects with a nice short shot to Soler's temple.
Soler tries to kick Chan off but Chan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Chan slips a nice elbow through Soler's hands, connecting with Soler's forehead.
Soler is breathing heavily.
Chan is controlling the pace.
Chan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Soler is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Chan scores with a couple of nice shots.

Chan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Soler has hold of Chan's hands but Chan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Chan lands a nice short elbow.

Jackyp Chan dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jackyp Chan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chan stuffs the takedown.

Chan goes for a double leg but Soler avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Soler continues to drive forward.
Chan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Soler to keep the fight standing.

Chan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Soler is trying to defend but Chan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Chan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Chan moves into full mount! Soler won't be happy about that!

Chan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

That's time! Soler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Chan dives in and grabs Soler's left leg, looking for a takedown. Soler pushes down on Chan's head and hops out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
