Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Barnes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Aaron Archer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ben Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Archer!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Good leg kick by Archer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Barnes on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Archer jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Barnes misses with a low kick.
Barnes gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Archer tries for a takedown but Barnes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Barnes shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Archer throws a series of punches but Barnes moves out of range.
Archer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Archer feints and then cracks Barnes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Barnes down.
Archer connects with a body shot that sends Barnes's belly button to the back.

Barnes has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Archer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
We've been told by Barnes's head coaches at Qube Striking that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Archer is pushing down on Barnes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Barnes is fighting to maintain full guard but Archer has managed to sneak the leg through.

Archer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Aaron Archer spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
Ben Barnes spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm sorry for disappointing all my fans. I'm going back to the drawing board and gonna come back stronger than ever.'.
