Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muay Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Laputa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thai kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Town Called Malice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thai takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Muay Thai has been cut.
Laputa clinches up with Thai and pushes him back against the cage.
Thai managing to block the knees to the body from Laputa.
Laputa blocks a body shot from Thai.
Laputa has Thai pressed against the cage.
Thai digs a right hand into Laputa's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Laputa's gas tank.

Laputa has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Thai is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Laputa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thai moves away.

Thai uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Laputa.

Thai throws a good cross that connects.
Thai throws a nice looking combination but Laputa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Laputa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Thai turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Thai lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Laputa or not.
Laputa tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Thai lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Laputa is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Thai is defending well for now.

Thai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Laputa tries a low kick but Thai avoids it.
Thai chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Laputa throws a jab but it's blocked by Thai.

Thai missing with a left hand there. Laputa was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Laputa takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Laputa misses with a hook. Thai ducked under it nicely.
Thai looks to land a left hand but Laputa moved out of range nicely.

Laputa throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
The fight stays on the outside here - Laputa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Laputa checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Some bone on bone action there as Thai checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kirk Laputa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thai lands a nice leg kick that just misses Laputa's sensitive parts.

and Thai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Thai slips under a jab from Laputa.
Thai moves out of range as Laputa strikes.
Laputa misses with a right hand
and Thai counters with a leg kick.
Thai connects with a body shot.
Thai tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Thai pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Thai lands with a nice body punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Muay Thai dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Nice uppercut lands for Thai. That snapped Laputa's head back.
Thai jabs Laputa to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Thai's corner calls for a 1-2. Thai obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Laputa's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Thai fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Laputa has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nice jab there from Thai.
Thai cracks Laputa with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Laputa falls to his knees and Thai doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Muay Thai!

Muay Thai decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
