The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asashoryu throws a right and a left that Man avoids nicely.
A big left from Asashoryu misses.
Man looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Asashoryu drops Man with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Man looks back up at him and smiles so Asashoryu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Super Man has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Asashoryu tries to bum rush Man with a series of wild strikes but Man uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Asashoryu's jab looks to have found its range, popping Man under the eye.
Yokozuna Asashoryu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asashoryu lands with a hook. Man tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Asashoryu measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Man! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Yokozuna Asashoryu!
Yokozuna Asashoryu spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
