Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Coach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darrian Ashoka! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ashoka throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Coach stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ashoka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Coach has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Coach walks into a stiff left hand from Ashoka. Ashoka takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A big right from Ashoka misses. Coach fails with a takedown attempt. A swing and a miss from Coach. Coach takes a swing at Ashoka's ribcage but misses. Ashoka looks to land a right hand but Coach moved out of range. Coach takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like James Coach has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Coach scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Ashoka throws a low kick, looking for Coach's leg but Coach calmly moves out of range. Coach misses with a leg kick. Coach swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Coach swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ashoka scores with a nice head shot. Coach misses with a shot to the body and Ashoka counters with a stiff right hand. Coach throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circle, before Ashoka throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Coach's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Ashoka lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Darrian Ashoka! Darrian Ashoka took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, Backyard Fighting for their support in the buildup to the fight.
