Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hector Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sly Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabrera kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tarot - I Walk Forever. Sly Randolph has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
40 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hector Cabrera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Sly Randolph! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabrera lands a head shot. A telegraphed right hand from Randolph misses the target. Hector Cabrera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from Randolph misses the target. Cabrera ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Randolph fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cabrera has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Randolph swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Cabrera throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Randolph misses the shot to the body. Cabrera lands with an uppercut that bounces Randolph off the cage and back into range. Cabrera looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Randolph moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Randolph jabbing away but nothing is landing. Cabrera scores with a nice right hand.
Randolph throws the left hand but Cabrera avoids the punch easily. Cabrera is looking to chop away at Randolph's legs. Cabrera throws the left hand but Randolph avoids the punch easily. Randolph lands with a straight right. Cabrera didn't see that one coming. Cabrera takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Cabrera throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cabrera shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Randolph has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Randolph there as he acknowledges the shot. Cabrera wants to slow Randolph down by chopping away at his legs. Cabrera lands with a nice body kick. Cabrera bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Cabrera misses with a hook. A punch combination from Randolph misses. Randolph moves out of range of the leg kick from Cabrera. Randolph throws a hook but Cabrera avoids it easily. Cabrera wants to slow Randolph down by chopping away at his legs. Cabrera shoots in looking for a takedown. Randolph tries to sprawl out of it but Cabrera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Randolph manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cabrera has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Randolph finds it's way round the side to connect with Cabrera's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Randolph tries to work over Cabrera's front leg with a kick but Cabrera checks it. Cabrera turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Cabrera scores with a jab. Randolph acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Cabrera throws a leg kick but Randolph sees it coming and checks it nicely. Randolph displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cabrera throws out the jab. Randolph throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Nice defenses there by Randolph. Cabrera lands the left hand. Cabrera cracks the inside of Randolph's front leg. Cabrera thows a left - swing and a miss! Randolph lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cabrera's sensitive parts. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Randolph - that will leave a mark!
Cabrera gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Randolph takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A head kick misses from Randolph. Cabrera fails to land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Randolph lands with an uppercut that bounces Cabrera off the cage and back into range. Cabrera shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Randolph but Randolph pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cabrera shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Randolph as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector Cabrera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Randolph scores with a punch to the head. Cabrera misses with a wild body shot. Cabrera feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Randolphs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Cabrera misses with a straight right. Randolph moves forwards but Cabrera connects with a nice, crisp jab. Randolph cracks the inside of Cabrera's front leg. Cabrera bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cabrera slips under a jab from Randolph. Cabrera tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Randolph was well out of range. Poor timing from Cabrera. Randolph lands with a thumping leg kick.
Randolph loads up on a big right hand but Cabrera slips the punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sly Randolph will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Randolph misses with a hook. Cabrera ducked under it nicely. A jab lands there for Cabrera. Cabrera lands a jab. Cabrera throws a jab but it's blocked by Randolph. An inside leg kick from Randolph misses. Cabrera is looking to score with low kicks. A jab from Cabrera misses. Randolph throws a hook but Cabrera avoids it easily. Cabrera feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Randolph's calf. Randolph comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Randolph misses with a hook. Randolph throws a big shot that misses. Randolph avoids the body shot from Cabrera.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randolph throws a low kick but Cabrera avoids it. Cabrera looks to throw the jab but Randolph is out of range. Nice body punch from Randolph. Cabrera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Randolph moves away. Cabrera scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Randolph misses with a hook. Cabrera ducked under it nicely. Randolph fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Randolph throws a looping overhand right but Cabrera ducks down to avoid it. Cabrera throws a leg kick but Randolph checks it. Sly Randolph seems to be getting the better of the standup. Cabrera avoids the body shot from Randolph.

Randolph moves out of range as Cabrera strikes. Cabrera pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Randolph is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cabrera. Randolph connects with a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cabrera cracks Randolph with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Randolph misses with a low kick. Cabrera scores with a crisp jab that stopped Randolph in his tracks. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Randolph throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Randolph looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Randolph throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cabrera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Randolph won't be happy with that. Randolph wants to control but Cabrera postures up. Randolph is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cabrera's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Cabrera throwing shots but Randolph is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cabrera missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Randolph wants to control but Cabrera is keeping busy and won't allow it. Randolph has hold of Cabrera's hands but Cabrera slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabrera is looking to take a break and control but Randolph is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cabrera is thwarting Randolph's attempts to control the position. Randolph slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Cabrera wants to control from the top but Randolph keeps moving. Cabrera slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Cabrera. Randolph managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Cabrera.
Randolph is trying to get back to half guard. Randolph defending against the ground and pound. Cabrera misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cabrera working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Cabrera wants to control but Randolph is keeping him busy. The ground and pound from Cabrera seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randolph misses the jab. Cabrera on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Cabrera moves away from the strike by Randolph. Randolph throws a half hearted mid kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Cabrera. Randolph does a little dance to reset his feet. Cabrera throws a jab but it's blocked by Randolph. Cabrera checks a leg kick. Cabrera tries to move into range but Randolph moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. An inside leg kick lands from Randolph. A big right from Randolph misses. Randolph slips a straight right by Cabrera. Randolph ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cabrera moves away. Randolph's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cabrera under the eye. Cabrera uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Randolph. Randolph misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabrera attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Randolph misses with a leg kick and Cabrera counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Randolph! Randolph manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Randolph trying to control from the bottom.
Hector Cabrera overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cabrera looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Randolph with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Cabrera prevents Randolph from improving his position. Cabrera is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Randolph defends it well. Randolph avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cabrera.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Randolph wants to improve his position but Cabrera is controlling well.
Randolph keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Randolph is looking to control Cabrera's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Randolph avoid being mounted? Cabrera working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Randolph tries to roll over but Cabrera keeps him under control. Cabrera blocks the strikes from Randolph.
Randolph is refusing to be controlled, as Cabrera sits in half guard. Randolph works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabrera wants to pass the guard but Randolph is keeping the position. Randolph controls Cabrera momentarily but Cabrera frees himself. Cabrera throws a big right hand that misses. Cabrera is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Randolph has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Cabrera is looking to defend but Randolph has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Cabrera! Randolph pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Cabrera taps out and this one is all over!
