Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burton comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Wayne-God Bless Amerika. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Young!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton shoots in and bounces Young off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burton throwing strikes from guard but Young blocks nicely.
Young is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Young is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Burton dives into side control.
Burton is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Young's shoulder. That is not cool.
Young is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Burton is controlling him well.
Young is trying to control Burton's posture but Burton avoids it.

Burton remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Young lands with a hook. Burton tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and Burton counters with a good low kick that Young was not able to check.

and Burton counters with a left and a right that stings Young.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Burton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Burton is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Trevor Burton has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Young looks to land a combination but Burton avoids it well.

Burton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Young napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Young using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Burton has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Burton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Young closes this distance looking for a takedown but Burton circles away.

Young misses with a takedown attempt - Burton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Burton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Young swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Burton fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Young to the ground. Burton is now in Young's guard.

Burton feints and as Young raises his hands in defense, Burton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Burton turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Burton manages to end up in side control.

Young tries to circle away but Burton has him pinned against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Young accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Burton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Young is aware though and is defending well.
Young throws a big right hand that misses.
Young wanted to stand there but Burton had control of the position.
Young lying in Burton's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Burton decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Young taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
