The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blake shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Blake was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Boyka on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Boyka avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Blake.
Sloppy strikes there by Blake.
Blake happy to just control the position for now.
Blake in side control, throwing shots but Boyka defends.
Blake sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Boyka is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Blake has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Blake cracks Boyka with a big right hand but Boyka just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blake is staying tight to Boyka's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Blake works to advance to full mount. Boyka defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Blake lands a big elbow.

It looks like Juri Boyka has been cut.
Boyka looks winded!
Blake throwing strikes here but Boyka is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Blake is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Boyka can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
