We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Name takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Name throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thompson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Thompson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Name tries to get to full guard but Thompson has control of the leg.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thompson passes to side control.
Name is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Name takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Thompson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Name's shoulder. That is not cool.
Name looks to move to half guard but instead Thompson has passed into mount! Damn!
Name is looking to improve his position but Thompson isn't that keen on the idea.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thompson cracks Name with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Name in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Thompson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

DE Thompson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
