Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ron Dogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Garcia will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ron Dogg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Garcia! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dogg looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Garcia is fending him off so far but Dogg persists. Nope, Garcia circles away and we're back to standing. Dogg looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dogg paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dogg takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. No luck for Dogg with that takedown attempt. Dogg shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Garcia but Garcia pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron Dogg. That's going to take a lot out of him. Garcia throws a right and a left that both miss. Garcia throws a right hand that Dogg ducks under and follows up with a left that Dogg also avoids with ease. Garcia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dogg looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Garcia avoids the head kick by Dogg.
Dogg shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Garcia sprawls well. Garcia wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dogg gets slowly back to his feet. Dogg could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dogg dodges the punch combination from Garcia.
Garcia looks to land a combination. Dogg sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. No joy there for Garcia, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dogg looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Garcia! Garcia wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Dogg has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Garcia's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Garcia is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Dogg!
