Poirier misses with an uppercut. Tate saw that one coming.
Poirier connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tate momentarily.

Poirier lands a big right hand that sends Tate crashing to the mat! Poirier stays standing though and waves Tate back to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Poirier pounces like a tiger and cracks Tate with a vicious hook! Tate is down but not out! Poirier follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
