Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derka Derka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kauko Velaskuez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velaskuez tries to clinch
and Derka counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Derka lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Kauko Velaskuez has been cut.
Derka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Velaskuez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Derka connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Velaskuez scrambles back to his feet.

Velaskuez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Derka throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Velaskuez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Derka swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Velaskuez manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Derka on his heels. He'll look to pass Derka's guard now, I'm sure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Velaskuez is defended easily by Derka.
Derka feints and then cracks Velaskuez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Velaskuez down.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Derka cracks Velaskuez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Velaskuez shoots for a double leg takedown but Derka sprawls well. He's pushed Velaskuez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Derka cracks Velaskuez with a hook to the temple - Velaskuez is on wobbly legs here! Derka swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Velaskuez falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Derka wins by TKO!
