Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Raith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Speedy Light (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 22 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thomas Raith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Speedy Light!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Raith moves into the clinch.
Light lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Raith.

Light pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Raith moves into range and clinches up with Light.
Raith drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Raith tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Light smiles and moves away.
Light scores with a one two! Raith had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Thomas Raith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Light throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Raith.

Raith clinches with his opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Raith lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Light breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Raith rushes Light and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Light digs a right hand into Raith's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Raith's gas tank.
Raith throws a knee to the head but misses.
Light dodges an elbow strike from Raith.
Light gets underhooks to prevent Raith's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Raith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Light displaying some good clinch control by pressing Raith up against the cage.
The crowd are getting on Light's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Light's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Raith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Light lands a jab to the nose.
Raith fails with the takedown.
Light bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Raith's head backwards.
Light stuffs the takedown.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Light stuns Raith with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Light throws a right and a left that Raith avoids nicely.
Light moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Raith is rocked!
Light lands a nice shot to the body.

Raith forces Light back against the cage and clinches.

Light breaks the clinch.

Light gets a clinch.
Light leaning his opponent against the cage.
Raith goes for a takedown attempt but Light pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Light tests Raith's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Raith closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Come on Light - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Raith fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A short body shot lands from Light as the two fighters clinch.
Light lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Raith or not.
Raith is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Light's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Light lands a body shot.
Light doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Raith drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nice body punch from Light - that landed with a thud.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Light pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Speedy Light dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Light fails to land with a series of punches.

Light rushes Raith and presses him up against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Light.
Light misses with a body punch.

Light breaks from the clinch.
Raith takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Raith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Light counters with a nice uppercut.

Raith gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Light misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Raith is working for takedown but Light is calmly controlling the position for now.
Raith drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Light gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Raith. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Light breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Oooooh!!! Light has knocked Raith down with a huge combo! Light steps away and waves a wobbly Raith back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Oh Raith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Thomas Raith has been cut.

Light cracks Raith with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Light has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Raith to stand back up!

Light closes the distance and clinches.
A right handed body shot lands from Light.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Light stalling the fight.
Raith tries to score a body lock takedown but Light shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Light scores with a hook to the body.
Light lands a body punch in the clinch.
Raith seems to have got his legs back now.

Light escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Light lands a big uppercut and Raith crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Raith looks OK. Light waves Raith back to his feet!
Light dances in with a quick combination. Raith is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Light snaps Raith's head back. Raith stumbles backwards against the cage. Light steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Raith's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Raith just didn't come prepared.
