Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mario Guevera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles Awsome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miles Awsome told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mario Guevera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Miles Awsome! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guevera has a takedown stuffed. Guevera has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hopkins Athletics Fight Club (Training Facility) in the buildup to the fight. Guevera shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Awsome is trying to defend but Guevera finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Awsome is looking to escape. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Guevera connects with a nice short shot to Awsome's temple. Awsome is trying to stand back up but Guevera is controlling him
Awsome is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Guevera working over Awsome with some ground and pound. Awsome looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Awsome on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Guevera lands a nice short elbow. Guevera tries to pass the half guard into mount. Awsome knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Guevera is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guevera is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Awsome sees it coming and defends easily. Guevera not landing any meaningful shots this time. Awsome is trying to stand.
Guevera working the head and body with strikes. Awsome on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Guevera looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Awsome avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Guevera. Guevera takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Guevera uses his free foot to push down on Awsome's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Awsome.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guevera scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Guevera pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Guevera unloading with bombs! Awsome is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Guevera is landing with some decent strikes but Awsome is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Awsome is rocked! Guevera raining down hammerfists from mount. Awsome is still in real trouble! Can Guevera finish him? Guevera has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Awsome's face.
Guevera lands a heavy elbow. Guevera drops a big elbow. That's hurt Awsome! More shots from Guevera and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mario Guevera! A relieved looking Mario Guevera thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
