Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Okabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volkov comes into the arena with The Trooper by Iron Maiden blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
34 - 19 - 1, fighting out of London, Vincent Volkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
31 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenji Okabe!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov tries to score with a low kick but Okabe moves his leg out of the way.
Volkov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Volkov throws a nice inside leg kick.
Okabe scores with a sloppy right hand. Volkov should have avoided that one.
Volkov throws a push kick but Okabe slaps the foot to one side.
Volkov works Okabe's body with a nice hook.
Volkov throws a hook but Okabe blocks it.
Good leg kick by Volkov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Okabe connects with a looping right hand.
Okabe lands a jab to the nose.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Volkov shoots in but Okabe avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice shot lands for Volkov.
Volkov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Okabe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A decent looking cross lands there for Okabe.
A slapping leg kick lands for Volkov.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Volkov, as that shot connected.

Volkov throws a leg kick which misses Okabe's front leg but catches the back leg as Okabe tries to avoid it.
Volkov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A nice inside leg kick there by Volkov. That's going to slow Okabe down.
Volkov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Okabe's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Okabe duly obliges.
Okabe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Volkov.
Volkov throws a head kick but Okabe moves out of range.
Okabe dips to his left and cracks Volkov with an uppercut!
Volkov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Okabe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Volkov somewhat.
Vincent Volkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Okabe throws a body punch but Volkov moves out of range.
Okabe scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Okabe shoots in for a takedown but Volkov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Okabe goes for a double leg but Volkov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Volkov continues to drive forward.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Okabe gets underhooks to prevent Volkov's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Volkov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Volkov jumps guard but Okabe stands there with Volkov around his waist. Volkov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Okabe prevents a takedown attempt there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Volkov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Okabe lands a nice hook to Volkov's body. Volkov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Okabe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Volkov under the eye.
Volkov dodges the punch combination from Okabe.
Okabe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Volkov.

Volkov throws a hook but Okabe avoids it easily.
Okabe connects with a body shot.
Volkov misses with a wild body shot.
Okabe takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Volkov misses the shot to the body.
Okabe just misses with a punch to the body.
Volkov takes a swing at Okabe's ribcage but misses.
Okabe connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Volkov misses with a takedown
and Okabe decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Volkov's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Okabe slips nicely into half guard.

Volkov slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Volkov is controlling Okabe's posture.
Volkov keeping moving, preventing Okabe from controlling successfully.
Volkov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Volkov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Okabe's guard.
Okabe is pulling down on Volkov's head to control his posture.
Volkov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Okabe is pulling down on Volkov's head to control his posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Volkov throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Okabe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Volkov.

Okabe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Okabe counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Okabe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Volkov is looking to control Okabe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Volkov avoid being mounted?
Okabe is controlling the pace.
Okabe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Volkov keeps working.

Okabe perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Volkov throws the kick towards the body but Okabe avoids it.
Volkov shoots in for a takedown but Okabe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Okabe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Okabe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A jab from Okabe does it's job there.
Okabe digs a good hook to Volkov's body.
Volkov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Okabe connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Volkov scrambles back to his feet.
Okabe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Volkov manages to avoid it.
Volkov tries to sprawl but Okabe drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Okabe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Volkov won't allow Okabe to pass to mount.
Kenji Okabe has got the better of the ground game so far.

Okabe is keen to just control but Volkov is a slippery customer.
Volkov wants to improve his position but Okabe is controlling well.

Okabe is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Volkov tries to roll over but Okabe keeps him under control.
Okabe is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Volkov!

Okabe has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Volkov's face.
Okabe cracks Volkov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Okabe connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Volkov is squirming around, avoiding Okabe's attempts to control the action.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Okabe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Okabe breaks from Volkov's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Volkov is squirming around, avoiding Okabe's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Okabe pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Volkov is rocked!
Volkov tries to hold on but Okabe pushes him away.
Oh Volkov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Okabe lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Okabe looking to control but Volkov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Okabe loads up with a big shot that hurts Volkov! He's pulled Okabe in close but Okabe has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Volkov survive? More strikes from Okabe and Volkov is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
