Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kush Goon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goon's entrance music is Tourniquet . A fine choice. Evans has chosen Like a G6 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kush Goon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 19 - 3, fighting out of Helsinki, Quinton Evans! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Evans. Evans takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Evans scores with a jab to the jaw. Goon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Goon takes a swing at Evans's ribcage but misses. Evans uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Goon.
Evans fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Goon sprawls well initially but Evans persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Goon manages to get to full guard.
Goon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Evans can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Evans won't allow Goon to sweep him here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Evans seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Goon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Goon throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Evans escapes and throws Goon's legs to the side, diving into side control! Evans works to advance to full mount. Goon defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Goon keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Goon is wriggling around trying to escape.
Evans controlling from mount. Goon slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Goon gets full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Evans thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Evans passes Goon's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goon is trying to get back to full guard. Evans wants to work for an arm triangle but Goon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Goon is trying to maintain the position but Evans is very close to passing his half guard. Evans is looking for a kimura but Goon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Evans to get the leverage. Evans scoring with strikes to the body and head. Evans thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Goon's head. Goon is trying to maintain the position but Evans is very close to passing his half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Goon is pressing down on Evans's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Evans pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Goon is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quinton Evans dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Goon fails with a takedown attempt. Goon swings for the body but Evans moves out of range.
Evans throws a good cross that connects.
Goon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Evans was well out of range. Poor timing from Goon. Nice uppercut there from Goon. Goon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Goon lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Goon misses with a left hand and Evans counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Goon! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Goon regains half guard. Goon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Evans working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Evans thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Goon tries to get to full guard but Evans has control of the leg. Evans is looking for a kimura but Goon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Evans to get the leverage. Goon gets full guard. Goon seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goon looking for a guillotine here but Evans defends easily.

Quinton Evans has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans throws a strike but Goon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Goon chips away with some ground and pound. Evans looking to hit a scissor sweep but Goon is one step ahead there. Evans has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Goon preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Goon lands a couple of elbows. Evans is looking for a triangle here but Goon uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Goon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Evans is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Evans is trying to control Goon's posture but Goon avoids it. Goon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Evans's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Goon controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Evans can't do much from the bottom here. Goon working the ground and pound from side control. Evans is not content to let Goon control the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Evans tries to improve position but can't. Goon looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Evans tries to get back to half guard but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Goon working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kush Goon will probably get the nod. That's time! Goon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Goon shoots in for a takedown but Evans shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Goon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Goon there as he acknowledges the shot. Nice defenses there by Goon. Goon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Goon moves into range and connects with a jab. Goon lands a slapping body shot.

and Evans decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Goon's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Goon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Evans accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Evans works over Goon with some ground and pound from guard. Goon looking for a sweep. Not yet Goon, not yet. Goon is looking for a triangle but Evans pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Evans tries to free his leg and advance position but Goon is retaining full guard. Goon wants to sweep but no luck. Evans postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Goon looking to control.
Evans must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Goon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Evans stands and throws Goon's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans takes a little break here. Goon wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Evans working the ground and pound but Goon is defending the strikes. Evans wants to lay and pray for a moment but Goon keeps working. Goon tries to get back to half guard but can't. Evans is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Goon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Goon is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans looks up at the clock and then as Goon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Evans smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Goon is looking to reverse the position. Goon is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Evans is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Goon is desperately trying to improve his position but Evans has a good base and remains in mount. Evans lands a nice shot to the head. Evans avoids the attempt from Goon to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Evans scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Goon tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Evans trying to control but he's not successful this time. Evans with shots to the head and body - Goon looks very uncomfortable down there.
And that's the end of the fight! Quinton Evans comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Evans has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
