Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yusif Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackyp Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rodrigues with a nice cross.
Rodrigues stalks Chan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Chan's face. Chan staggers backwards, shaken.
Chan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rodrigues's guard.
Rodrigues will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rodrigues wants to get back to his feet but Chan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Chan passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chan is putting a hurting on Rodrigues here, landing some big shots from side control.
Rodrigues tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Rodrigues is covering up but some of the strikes from Chan are getting through and doing damage.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Chan controlling the positon.
Chan lands with a hammerfist to the side of Rodrigues's head.

Rodrigues wants to get back to his feet.
Chan scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Rodrigues is looking for a way out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Rodrigues is trying to stand back up.
Chan is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Chan gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Chan gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Chan apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rodrigues tries to sprawl but Chan drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Chan is controlling the pace.
Rodrigues wants to get back to his feet.
Chan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Rodrigues looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Chan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Chan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Rodrigues looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rodrigues knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chan on the ground.
Rodrigues is breathing heavily.

Chan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Rodrigues looks like he's trying to stand up.

Chan is nestled in close to Rodrigues, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Chan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rodrigues with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Chan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rodrigues knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chan connects with a nice short shot to Rodrigues's temple.

Chan winds up and cracks Rodrigues with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Chan lands a nice short elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rodrigues pushes Chan off looking to stand but Chan dives back in and keeps control.
Chan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Chan lands with a punch from half guard.
Chan looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Rodrigues tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Chan manages to move to mount!
Chan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rodrigues wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jackyp Chan dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rodrigues looks to land a combination but Chan avoids it well.
Rodrigues misses with a head kick.
Chan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
