The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perraut looks for a takedown but Champagne sprawls well. Perraut fails with an attempt to clinch.
Perraut feints and as Champagne raises his hands in defense, Perraut changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Champagne working a defensive guard here.
Champagne is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Perraut trying to control the position from guard on top but Champagne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Perraut looking to pass the guard. Champagne is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Perraut has his hands clasped together but Champagne extends and breaks Perraut's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Champagne.
