Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Eater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Pickering (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jimmy Eater!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Pickering!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eater misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Eater keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pickering looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Horrible takedown by Eater or perhaps it was just good defense by Pickering which made him look bad.
Eater definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Eater fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pickering avoids it really well and circles away.
No luck for Eater with that takedown attempt.

Jimmy Eater seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Eater decides to stand back up. Eater steps back and let's Pickering get back to his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Eater will probably get the nod.

Eater closes the distance and clinches up with Pickering, looking for a takedown. Eater pushes Pickering against the cage but Pickering circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Pickering got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eater has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pickering has managed to get both his arms back between Eater's legs - danger averted.

Pickering drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Eater manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pickering has Eater in his guard.

Pickering has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eater can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Eater, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
