With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lance Uppercut!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klinkhammer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Uppercut counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Uppercut avoids the body shot from Klinkhammer.
Klinkhammer takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Klinkhammer throws a hook to the side of Uppercut's head but Uppercut sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Uppercut's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Klinkhammer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Uppercut scrambles back to his feet.


It looks like Lance Uppercut has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Uppercut drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

My spies in NexGen Fight Team inform me that Uppercut has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Uppercut stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Klinkhammer has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Uppercut manages to get his head free but now Klinkhammer has transitioned to an armbar! Uppercut grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Klinkhammer! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Roberto Klinkhammer was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
