Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Sturd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Hickok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sturd might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to T.I. - Yeah You Know. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hickok's choice of entrance music: Ari Gold - Let's Hug It Out, BITCH. Bill Hickok acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
31 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Sturd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
33 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bill Hickok!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickok changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sturd looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sturd is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Consortium Private LA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ground and pound from Hickok seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Hickok takes a little break here. Sturd wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Hickok is taking a breather. Sturd says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hickok lands a nice short elbow.

That's time! Sturd's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hickok avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hickok pushes Sturd up against the cage in a clinch.
Hickok escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hickok shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sturd as he jumps to the side.
Sturd throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hickok on the side of the head.
Hickok drops Sturd with a beautiful combination! Sturd stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hickok is looking for the KO!
Sturd is rocked!
It looks like Jason Sturd has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hickok shoots for a takedown but Sturd saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Oh Sturd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hickok tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sturd defends well and Hickok ends up having to push Sturd into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jason Sturd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Hickok.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The crowd cheers as Sturd lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hickok doesn't seem phased though.
