Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mohammad Pashton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Razor Jenon!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pashton throws a lazy head kick
and Jenon counters with a nice body kick.
Pashton throws a head kick that misses
and Jenon counters with a solid body kick.
Pashton throws a sloppy head kick
and Jenon counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Jenon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pashton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jenon manages to avoid it.
Pashton gets off balance looking for a body kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Jenon connects with a solid leg kick.
Mohammad Pashton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jenon throws a series of punches but Pashton moves out of range.
Pashton lands a jab to the nose.
Both fighters circling a little - Jenon finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A head kick by Pashton misses
and Jenon counters with a nice kick to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jenon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Pashton is breathing heavily.
Pashton throws a sloppy head kick
and Jenon counters with a head kick.
Jenon takes the fight into the clinch.
Jenon breaks the clinch.
Pashton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jenon manages to avoid it.
Jenon looks for a takedown but Pashton sprawls well.

and Jenon counters with a left and a right that stings Pashton.

Jenon closes the distance and clinches.

Jenon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jenon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mohammad Pashton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Razor Jenon.
Jenon shoots in and drives through. Pashton sprawls well.
Jenon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pashton.
Jenon clinches with his opponent.
Pashton is pressed up against the cage. Jenon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pashton down to the mat. Pashton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jenon lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Pashton is rocked!
Jenon has closed the distance and engaged Pashton in a clinch.
Oh Pashton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jenon turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jenon manages to end up in side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jenon tries for a kimura but Pashton is defending well.
Pashton seems to have got his legs back now.
Pashton is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pashton is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenon works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Jenon lands a few punches from side control.

Pashton is letting Jenon control him for a moment.
Pashton bucks up and tries to throw Jenon off but instead Jenon has got his back!

Jenon is working the ground and pound. Can Pashton escape?

Jenon is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Pashton has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
I would not like to be Pashton right now.
Jenon throwing damaging strikes from the back! Pashton could be in trouble here!

Jenon really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Pashton.

Jenon working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jenon keeps control of the position easily here as Pashton tries to buck him off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Razor Jenon dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jenon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pashton tries to avoid it but Jenon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pashton to the ground. Pashton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pashton gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Jenon counters by moving into the clinch.
Jenon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pashton just stands there and leans against the cage.
Pashton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jenon has him pressed against the cage.
Jenon decides to pull guard.
Pashton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jenon is proving hard to escape from.
Pashton avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pashton has gone for a leg lock! Jenon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pashton's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pashton has an active guard here but Jenon has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jenon seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Jenon is trying to work for a kimura but Pashton is defending well.

Pashton wants to improve his position but Jenon is controlling well.
Jenon stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Pashton to get to his feet.
Pashton throws a sloppy head kick
and Jenon counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Pashton misses with an uppercut. Jenon saw that one coming.

and Jenon counters with a huge head kick that drops Pashton! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
